There will always be time and space for human creativity.

Painting anyone critical of AI as a troglodyte wanting to go back to the "caveman days" or "putting the genie back in the bottle" is really disingenuous. It's a multi-faceted situation and people have different objections and concerns, many of which are extremely reasonable. It feels like the purpose of those statements is to minimize or shut down any criticism and thus normalize the highly controversial practices that tech companies employed to create this tool. AI can be used ethically. But if the conversation isn't allowed to take place, if valid criticisms aren't considered, then the door is left wide-open for it to be used unethically too. Personally, I don't care that the technology exists. But I do care that artists' work is being scrapped, often without consent or payment, and used as data points to feed someone else's algorithm for profit. Private Data and Ownership has been an issue with the internet for a long time and is now reaching it's disappointing conclusion.

The genie is out of the bottle and AI is here to stay unfortunately. It can’t be stopped, but there should be laws put in place to limit and/or deny its use, especially if using it means taking jobs away from artists and writers. I’m glad there are studios out there that still have creative integrity and see how important the human experience is in order to create great art and stories.

I'm a character guy. I start with characters and I then choose a plot and story to surround them with. You can have outstanding story structure, but I'd your characters aren't enduring, it can only go but so far.

This channel NEEDS to take off, the fact there aren't more views is criminal! As I'm working on my own original films, there is so much invaluable information here that has helped me understand why these movies I love work so well. Please don't stop making great content like this Pietro.

Chris touches on a huge problem with second and third generation blockbuster filmmaking - the pursuit of "cool" instead of "story". MULAN is such a good example - a generation of filmmakers raised on massively successful commercial blockbusters made by people who, themselves, didn't have blockbusters in their childhood, end up focusing on how "cool" films they grew up with were instead of understanding the core story elements that initially inspired those artists to make great blockbusters. Martial Arts Mulan is cooler than non Martial Arts Mulan. So let's find a way to cram in the original films story beats, but make Mulan cooler - instead of more emotionally relatable. The pursuit of cool ruins films, just like how Dwayne Johnson's contract that he can "never lose a fight" (to maintain his cool factor) ruins all of his films. We are 30 years deep into a film culture that chases "cool" nostalgically and so hard that they've all but forgotten how the first blockbusters were made: doing the story justice and then figuring out how to make that cool, regardless of where the story took you.

I'm so thankful for this channel. Must of the materials about scenes that I found, usually deals with one character in the scene. I appreciate that the example provided deals with multiple characters instead of just the protagonist.
